Each year the St Lucie River Chapter Sons of the American Revolution recognizes members of Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue and EMT personnel from St Lucie and Martin County.

March 2020 – Due to the COVID – 19 Pandemic the St Lucie River Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution was only able to award one award to Fort Pierce Central High School US Army JROTC.  Hopefully once the crisis has passed other awards will be presented.

At the December 14, 2019 meeting two Law Enforcement Officers from St Lucie County were presented the SAR Law Enforcement Medal and Certificate.

Chapter President Chuck Berger presented SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medals and Certificate to City of Port St. Lucie Patrol & Training Officer Scott Marrelle and to St. Lucie County Major Crime Unit Detective David Danicelle.

In 2017 members from St Lucie County were recognized and presented the SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medal and Certificate and members of the Fire Department received the SAR Fire Safety Commendation Medal and Certificate and the SAR Emergency Safety Medical Services Commendation Medal and Certificate.

This year the Chapter will recognize Martin County personnel; an officer from each of the following organizations will receive the Law Enforcement Commendation Medal at our monthly meeting on November 3, 2018; Stuart Police Department, Sewall’s Point Police Department and the Martin County Sheriff’s Department.

At the December 1, 2018 monthly meeting one Firefighter and one EMT from Martin County will be awarded the SAR Fire Safety Commendation and Certificate and one EMT will be awarded the SAR Emergency Safety Medical Services Commendation Medal and Certificate.

During school year 2017/18 one cadet from each Martin and St Lucie County schools that have a Junior ROTC Program were awarded the Sons of the American Revolution Chapter Level Bronze JROTC Medal.

More than 60 Good Citizenship Certificates were provided to elementary and middles schools in Martin and St Lucie County during school year 2017/18.
